A rug pull is a token or project failure where insiders remove liquidity, sell concentrated holdings, abuse contract permissions, or otherwise leave holders unable to trade safely. Not every price drop is a rug pull, so the surrounding on-chain evidence matters.

How does RugBuster detect rug pull signals?

Where data is available, RugBuster examines behavioral and contract signals such as funding origin, deployment timing, transaction entropy, wash-pattern indicators, holder concentration or clustering, and risky contract signatures. Some signals are chain-specific or may be unavailable for a particular token.
